Yoga Teacher Training - this is a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 hour program
When: Begins Saturday and Sunday May 4th and 5th 2013 and continues for 7 more weekends. Saturdays & Sundays 10:30 am - 5:00 pm. 10:30 am is a practice of the standard series format in our group class. There will be a break for lunch from 12:00 to 1:15 pm and at 3 pm a break of 15 minutes during the sessions.

Remainder of hours completed through scheduled teaching of 46 hours of teaching community classes with interval feedback from a senior teacher and specialized video study and practicum analysis from one of our staff.
Book study.

Optional internship hours cover business administration and training in human relations as well as running a Yoga center.

Trainees also enjoy unlimited Yoga classes included in their tuition for the length of the 8 week training. Sign up early and your unlimited classes begin as soon as you are paid in full.

TOPICS

Asana, ashtanga, anatomy, philosophy, history, chakras and sutras. This is a beginners teacher training as taught by Steven Earth. To understand yoga in depth requires a great desire to help others and the desire to work on oneself. If you feel that you are in this position in life I am sure that you will complete this course of training and help others along their way to personal growth.


Upon completion, you will receive a certificate from Earth's Power Yoga. This is a 200 hour course please note that some hours are completed via book study, essay and community class practice.

REQUIREMENTS

Introduction to the Teacher Training course and Kindle Touch as well as Kindle books. There will also be an explanation and practice of the beginner set. We are using kindle because it is the best book platform for reading plus it has Audiobook capabilities that far surpass any other platforms I have seen.

The "Yoga Teacher Training and Alignment workshops" stand alone as Anatomy and Alignment workshops these are excellent for those who want to deepen their personal practice. You will have one year from the start of the first class to complete the training including essays.

 

The $2800 payment is for the eight weekends.This is a 200 hour Yoga alliance teacher training and does include daily classes during the training this does not include workshops. Yoga Alliance is a seperate entity and seperate annual fees apply for registration to the Yoga Alliance Voluntary Registry. Failure to complete the eiight weeks and the book study and essay plus the final exam does not entitle you to a refund. Any tardiness or non attendance of the weekend courses will result in forfeiture of all payments. No refunds are given under any circumstances. In special cases and at the sole discretion of Earth's Power Yoga a student may be allowed to take the course at another time.

We will also explore the Yoga Anatomy book and start on the subject of anatomy.
Practice of the "Beginner Set". Students will become familiarized with the Beginner Set series by practicing the poses.
Then we will break into pairs and begin teaching
Homework: download the audio version of the Beginner Set online and practice teaching.

The following is not required study but is highly recommended:
Take a trip South India for minimum of 2 months in duration to see the roots of this ancient practice. Visit Jamana Giri at Nandi Bull Chamundi Hill Shiva Cave Temple. Fly into Chennai via Singapore Airlines and take the 1st class Shitabdi Express train into Mysore. The famed Pattabhi Jois also lived and taught in this same town of Mysore. You can write to the Indian Consulate 540 Arguello Blvd. SF CA 94115 to request a six month tourist visa. Write in advance as the process can take up to four months. We also recommend that you travel this journey alone. The best time to travel to South India is November through January.
