YOGA POSTURES

Downward Facing Dog Yoga Posture

Triangle Yoga Pose

This pose stretches the hamstrings lateral muscles and strengthens the neck.

Triangle posture is a great stretch, triangle pose is one of my personal favorites of all the Yoga poses.

Start in a standing position and extend your right leg forward about three feet. Turn your right foot out perpendicular to your left and align your feet heel to heel from a front view.

Grab your ankle with your right hand and extend your left hand up towards the ceiling. Though is may be tempting you look all the way up and turn your head to the ceiling.

I recommend to keep your head more sideways or even looking down at your foot so as to prevent straining the muscles of the neck.

Save your neck muscles for stomach sequences when you really need them and even then if you feel pain or strain in the neck muscles ease back our support your neck with your hands. In our Yoga postures pages we will cover more on abdominal Yoga poses later.
