Experience both giving and receiving a Thai Massage in this guided, experiential and fun workshop.

Bring a friend or meet one in the workshop. No experience with massage or yoga is required.
Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient system of healing with roots in Yoga, Ayurvedic medicine and Buddhist spiritual practice. this unique and complete system of yoga therapy combines rhythmic massage, accupressure, gentle twisting, deep stretching and meditation. It releases tension, increases vitality and creates wholeness of mind body and spirit in both giver and receiver. The movements and adjustments you will learn are a valuable compliment to a yoga or massage practice.

Some therapeutic effects of Thai Yoga Therapy releases stress and tension, increases vital energy, deeply relaxing, relieves pain and soreness, brings the systems of the body into balance, increases blood and lymph flow, releases emotional blocks, excellent therapy for common injuries and ailments, deepens the connection between mind, body and spirit.

Phoebe teaches yoga and Thai Massage Therapy at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara CA, and yoga at Exhale, center for sacred movement. Her Thai Massage practice was featured on CNN's "Weekend Housecalls".

Drawing on her training in intuitive healing, Thai Massage Therapy and Yoga, Phoebe teaches how opening the body allows more energy to flow, creating opportunity for shifts and healing. She has studied extensively with Saul David Raye.

Be sure to bring a pillow a mat and a blanket for you and your partner. If you dont have a partner with you we will pair you up with someone (most likely Me or Ze') ;-)

Parking: Please park on street. In cooperation with the owners of the building and the other tenants we ask that you park on the street. There are plenty of meters on Fairfax and Melrose as well as the adjoining streets. Parking is also available at Fairfax High after 3:30 pm until 9:30 pm Monday through Friday. All day Saturday. No parking at Fairfax High on Sundays due to the Swap Meet.
 

 

 

TAKING YOUR FIRST CLASS
at our studio on Melrose in Hollywood

If you're attending a Yoga class in Los Angeles for the first time, here is some information that will be helpful. Yoga is a personal journey, begin where you are now and progress naturally into your own individual practice.

There's metered parking in the area, so bring quarters. Please remember that we like to take the full hour-and-a-half for class, so fill up your meter! If you need a mat, mats are available for rent, $2 per class. However, it is strongly recommended that you invest in your own mat.

Wear comfortable clothing. Students often find it helpful to wear a top that stays close to the body, so it does not cover their face when their torso is inverted, as in a forward fold.

The class is $35.00 per class.

Checklist of what to bring and what to keep in mind:

- Mat Yoga mat (or rent a used mat for $2)
- Towel
- Quarters for parking
- Water bottle. You will sweat.
